Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Horticulturist to join our team. As a Horticulturist, you will be responsible for maintaining and caring for plants, gardens, and landscapes. Your expertise in horticulture will contribute to the overall beauty and health of our outdoor spaces. **MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE**
Duties:
- Designing and implementing landscape plans
- Planting, pruning, and maintaining trees, shrubs, flowers, and other plants
- Monitoring plant health and identifying pest or disease issues
- Conducting soil analysis and making recommendations for soil improvement
- Operating power tools and hand tools for landscaping and grounds keeping tasks
- Overseeing greenhouse operations, including propagation and plant care
- Providing lawn care services, such as mowing, edging, and fertilizing
- Collaborating with other team members to ensure proper care of outdoor spaces
- Assisting with landscape maintenance projects, such as irrigation system installation or repair
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of horticulture principles and practices
- Experience in garden design and implementation
- Proficiency in operating power tools and hand tools for landscaping tasks
- Understanding of greenhouse operations, including plant propagation techniques
- Familiarity with lawn care practices, including mowing, edging, and fertilizing
- Ability to identify common plant pests and diseases and implement appropriate solutions
- Knowledge of soil analysis techniques and soil improvement strategies
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
